When using third-party authentication (OAuth), you agree to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. We receive only the minimum information necessary to create and maintain your account.
You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Our Starter plan is free and includes basic features with usage limits. We may modify or discontinue the free tier at any time with 30 days notice.
Pro and Team plans are billed monthly or annually. By subscribing to a paid plan:
All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. The final price at checkout will include:
Tax rates are determined automatically at checkout based on your billing address. Business customers may be exempt from VAT by providing a valid VAT ID at checkout.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
EU Consumers: You have a 14-day right of withdrawal for new subscriptions (see "EU Consumer Rights" section below). For cancellations after this period, refunds are provided only as required by law or if the service has not been provided as described.
Business Users: No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods after the 14-day withdrawal period, except where required by law.
Contextium offers integrations with third-party services to enhance functionality:
Contextium provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that allows compatible AI tools (such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, and others) to access your workspace. By authorizing an MCP client:
Free (Starter) tier workspaces are subject to a monthly limit on MCP and CLI API calls. Each request authenticated with an MCP or CLI token counts as one call against this limit. When the monthly limit is reached, further MCP and CLI requests will be rejected until the limit resets at the start of the next calendar month. Paid plans have no call limit.
Free (Starter) tier users may participate in the referral programme. When three people you invite each start actively using Contextium (reaching their first served context), your workspace unlocks one additional team-member seat at no cost. This bonus seat is a one-time reward, is permanent, and does not increase your monthly MCP or CLI call limit.
You may connect your Contextium workspace to Slack to receive notifications. By enabling this integration, you authorize Contextium to send messages to your Slack workspace on your behalf. You are responsible for managing which Slack channels receive notifications and for complying with your organization's Slack policies.
AI Chat requires you to provide your own API key from Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI. By using AI Chat you agree that:
All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card information. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.
Transactional emails (notifications, invitations, password resets) are sent via Resend. We use this service to ensure reliable email delivery and track delivery status.
Conversations are stored in your browser's local storage only. Contextium does not retain your chat history on its servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your conversations and they cannot be recovered by Contextium.
During a chat session the AI has tool-level access to read your workspace files, skills, agents, tags, and workflows, and may create or update workspace resources on your behalf when instructed. You are responsible for reviewing any changes made by the AI to your workspace. Contextium is not liable for workspace modifications made by an AI model acting on your instructions.
Contextium is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, completeness, or appropriateness of responses generated by third-party AI models. AI Chat is a productivity tool — you must review all AI-generated outputs before acting on them. You remain solely responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated content.
In compliance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation 2024/1689), Article 50 transparency obligations:
If you use Contextium in a context that may be classified as high-risk under the EU AI Act — for example, in recruitment, access to essential services, or safety-critical systems — you are acting as a deployer under the EU AI Act and are responsible for your own compliance obligations in that context.
By publishing a listing to the Marketplace you confirm that:
We make reasonable efforts to review and monitor Marketplace listings for content that violates these Terms, including malicious code, harmful instructions, and illegal content. However, we cannot guarantee that every listing has been fully reviewed prior to being made available for installation.
You are solely responsible for reviewing the full content of any skill, agent, or MCP server before installing it into your workspace. By installing a listing, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review it and accept full responsibility for any consequences of its use.
Contextium is not liable for any harm, data loss, security breach, unintended behaviour, or other consequence resulting from installing or using a third-party Marketplace listing.
Marketplace listings are provided by community publishers. Contextium makes no representations or warranties about the quality, security, accuracy, fitness for purpose, or ongoing maintenance of any listing. All listings are installed at your own risk.
Reviews you submit are stored linked to your user account and displayed publicly on the listing page. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of your reviews. Contextium may remove reviews that violate these Terms without notice.
Publishers' display names, account creation dates, and all their published listings are publicly visible. Aggregate install counts are shown publicly on all listings. By publishing a listing you accept this visibility.
The claim status of imported listings (unclaimed, pending, claimed) is publicly visible. Submitting a false or fraudulent claim is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Contextium, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you publish to the Marketplace.
You agree NOT to use Contextium to:
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.
You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload to Contextium. We do not claim ownership of your documents, files, or data.
By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license ends when you delete your content or account.
You are solely responsible for your content and must ensure you have the right to upload and share it. We do not monitor or review user content, but we may remove content that violates these terms.
When you delete files, folders, or projects in Contextium:
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical content. While we maintain system backups for disaster recovery, we are not liable for any data loss.
We maintain complete version history for all files:
When you submit feedback, bug reports, or feature requests through our feedback system, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, modify, and incorporate your feedback into our service without compensation or attribution. This helps us improve Contextium for all users.
Contextium lets you generate links that make a file viewable (and, if you enable it, downloadable) by people outside your workspace. You are solely responsible for what you choose to share and with whom. A shared link grants read access to the file’s contents; Contextium does not and cannot prevent a recipient from copying, screenshotting, downloading, redistributing, or otherwise retaining content they are able to view. Access controls (link expiry, revocation, and email-restricted access) limit who can open a link — they do not secure the content itself once it has been viewed. You share at your own risk and are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any file and that its sensitivity is appropriate for external viewing, and for revoking links that should no longer be active.
Contextium provides default AI agent personas with pre-configured instructions and behaviors to assist with various tasks. By using these AI agent features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
All default agent personas provided by Contextium are created on a neutral basis, without bias or prejudice against any race, color, creed, religion, political view, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or other protected characteristics. Our default personas are designed to:
Users are free to modify, customize, and adapt agent personas to align with their own requirements, organizational values, or specific use cases through the provided customization features.
Contextium is not responsible for any results, outputs, decisions, or actions produced by AI agent personas, whether using default configurations or custom settings. AI agents are tools that:

By creating or customizing any Context Library, AI agent, skill, workflow, LLM configuration, or other feature on Contextium, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Contextium, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses (including reasonable legal fees), or actions arising from or relating to your configurations, outputs, or use of the service.
This disclaimer applies to all user-created or customized content including Context Libraries, agents, skills, workflows, and LLM configurations, regardless of whether they are created using our default templates, modified from defaults, or created entirely from scratch. Your use of any customization features constitutes acceptance of full legal responsibility for the results.
Contextium and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Contextium and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our service without our explicit written permission.
Your use of Contextium is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your data and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.

Contextium acts as the data controller for your account information and as the data processor for content you upload. You remain the data controller for content you create and share.
However, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical content. While we maintain regular system backups, we are not liable for any data loss.
We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you request account deletion:
During the grace period, your data is not accessible to you or other users, but is retained in our systems to allow reactivation. This grace period complies with GDPR requirements while protecting against accidental deletion.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

For new paid subscriptions, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by contacting support@contextium.io.
If you have already used the service during this period and then withdraw, we may charge you a proportionate amount for the services provided up until you communicated your withdrawal.
Under EU law, digital content and services must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If our service is faulty, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, or if this is not possible or would cause disproportionate inconvenience, a price reduction or refund.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
You should review these terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when these terms were last revised.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
