What does "bring your own key" (BYOK) mean?

Can I switch between plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your billing period.

Which AI models are supported?

All Anthropic Claude models (Claude Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.6, Haiku 4.5) and OpenAI models (GPT-4o, GPT-4o Mini, o1, o3-mini). You choose the model when you configure your key.

Is my API key stored securely?

Yes. Your API key is encrypted at rest using AES-256. It is only decrypted when you initiate a chat session and is never logged or stored in plaintext.

What is Vault?

Vault lets you mark a context library as encrypted on-device only. Files in that library are stored exclusively in your desktop app's local database — they are never uploaded to Contextium servers. Your team's agents, skills, and workflows still sync from the cloud, so your AI stays consistent. Vault is included in the Team plan and above.

What happens to existing subscribers?

Nothing changes. Existing subscribers stay on their current plan at the same price. AI chat continues to work with your configured API key.
